Changing my words

I need to be a better dad. That means I need to change my words. I am reading War of Words by Paul David Tripp. Here is what I have been wrestling with the past four weeks,

"A parent must not be so afraid of what will happen to his child that he tries to do with words what only God can accomplish by his grace...it's like trying to turn the child's heart with a verbal tool."

Change is hard.
