Our pastoral staff is currently reading this book by D.A. Carson. Reading this book reminds me of being in seminary. Carson has to be one of the smartest guys on the face of the planet besides the guy he mentored, Dr. Craig Blomberg!
While Carson does point out some of his "likes" of the emergent movement (1 chpt.), he is definitely taking a stance at where it is failing.
It's been good to walk through this book as a staff! More to come!

Scot McKnight, who had an office next to Carson at Trinity for a number of years, has written some very good posts critiquing Carson's book.
