Blankets For Orphans in Central Asia
My wife and her mother made 25 blankets for some of the children who were orphaned during the huge earthquake in Central Asia. Our missions pastor is in the air right now with his wife and four children taking them to our missionaries. Winter is coming and the orphans literally have nothing! They love bright colors and I think Julie and her mom did a great job of picking out the colors. Our missionaries are currently housing these children and they need blankets!
Our missions pastor is going to be there for about six weeks doing "whatever!" Two of his kids are in our high school ministry. I can't wait to hear how God is going to use this unique experience to shape their view of Him!
Another cool thing regarding this story is that Julie sent out an email about the need and 8 people contributed money to make this happen!
Finally, this whole project reminds that God loves all the people of this world! It's cool to actually put that into practice!
