I have started my quest to see what I think about the TNIV! I purchased a Bible and I am reading it.I will be posting the stuff I find helpful in my quest to decide what I think about this new translation.
My first read will be something my small group leader at Denver Seminary wrote. He is for the new translation. I think he might have something to say. Dr. Craig Blomberg "TODAY'S NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION: THE UNTOLD STORY OF A GOOD TRANSLATION"

Dan, How can do you deal with John Piper being against this translation? :)
The verdict is still out for me. I am going a purchasing one so that I can see for myself. . . :)
I am reading Blomberg's paper and it seems quite good and yet some of the other side seems good too. . .
I know Alice! I saw Piper's name on the list of pastors who don't endorse the text!
I am excited to start reading up on it.
It's like...who do I disagree with...Dr. Blomberg, or Piper? Hmmmm.
