Jon's post is worth reading about the value a website can and does bring to your student ministry. Our student ministry website has gone through at least four changes in the last four years to get to this point. I am grateful to be partnering with a guy like Jon to give us a presence on the web for those who are a part of our high school community.

Dan,
I agree that a SM must have a site these days - but I have come to beleive this is more for parents that students. The primary things people come to our site for is information and Registration. we have found most students do not enagage our site. We are dicussing ways we might get them to come and experience community through the site. Just my 2 cents.
ypjim,
Thanks for your thoughts and I appreciate you opening the dialogue! We've determined that most of our students and parents come to our site for information only. We've tried the community piece and it didn't work with chat rooms, etc... Anyone else want to chime in?
