A moment of silence please

Today the Broncos begin their summit towards winning the Super Bowl. Who cares if it's preseason?! It's football and if you don't know this about me, I BLEED ORANGE! I love football!!!!!!!!! It's Adah's first game today! I can't wait to take her to a game in 7 years!

I am pumped to see Cutler get a lot of snaps tonight. I am excited to see Mike Bell, our undrafted running back, start the game and get a lot of snaps!

Silence... yeah, that's probably the sound that will be heard at Invesco come playoff time.

To the above comment...

Looks who's talking, Mr. "My team only won four regular season games last year." This year I don't predict silence for your team come playoff time, I predict weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Hopefully the Broncos will take it the entire way this year! Go Broncos!

I can't wait for their march to the Super Bowl where they will be soundly defeated by the Vikings either! I am with you in your excitement for the start of football!

Brian - dude, you know better than to make that comment!

Tim - you brought me to tears!

Trevor - your boys have been on the boats this month!

this may be a bit long, but it needs said. brian and trevor, i will be praying for you guys, it's never too late to leave the dark side. enough of that, it's football season and things are again right in the world, or at least for three hours every sunday. GO BRONCOS!!! Personal question Dan, does it wreck the beginning of your week when the Broncos do happen to lose or the whole week? For me it's the whole week. I think I need help. This is year, again, I know it! Go Broncos!

Wish I could be there! Enjoy the games for me. I doubt I will see any. If you can DVDrecord them!!! Cheer for me! All I get is 10 sec. blip overview on CNN World. Yuck!

Brian - All I can hear is silince when I hear about your team. . . hum. . . . wonder why . . . . :)

Jesse...thanks for your kind thoughts....the answer to your question is the whole week...especially if I've gone to the game. I can still feel the pain of walking from my seats to the car after the Steelers won...I still feel it! I feel it ALL WEEK!!!!! When I find a good counselor I'll let you know! :)

Alice...can't you get it on Satellite somehow? There's got to be a way for you to get the games live! I'll check!

In Brians defense, lets not blame him for his topical insanity when it comes to his team, which one was it by the way, the only one I can think of is, I am pretty sure a Pee Wee Team.
love you brother.
a Bronco living in Viking territory.

Phil from Viking's territory...dude, calling the Packers a pee wee team is brutal. I look forward to Brian's response. Wear the orange and blue proud in the land of the purple!

I'm just happy that there's so much more animosity toward the Packers than the Vikings. (I suppose part of the reason could be that the Packers have actually won some championships and the Vikings have lost all four they've made it to...come to think of it, that's a good reason for all of you to cheer for the Vikes in the NFC, then the Broncos could win the Super Bowl.) Despite the Packers past success, I just thankful that they'll only win three this year, with Favre throwing at least 25 interceptions. They are a pee wee team. Sometimes the truth is brutal.

Trevor, strong take on the Sabbath!

The Vikings are like the uncoordinated kid in gym class who thinks he should be the starting qb, while everyone just looks at him and shakes their head in pity. Sad. (Hey, take a sniff of the Super Bowl and then we can talk)

The Broncos are like the kid who thinks he is much cooler than he really is and can't come to grips with all of his failures. Case in point - your coach is an absolute joke... can't draft, can't win in the playoffs, and makes humorous decisions in free agency. Please, someone, tell me what the Rat has done in the past 8 years??? Oops, sorry, he has gotten a stellar tan! And don't even get started on the Snake. By the way, what happened to the genius' ability to turn any RB into a future hall of famer?

The Packers are like the kid who used to be the stud in school, but tore up his knee a few years back and continues to want to tap into that well. The great thing about that kid is - even though he won't be what he was in the past, he is a ton of fun to watch. It's called realistic expectations folks - look it up!

Okay, seriously Brian, I have to respond to that absolutely preposterous statement(s) you have recently made. I was fine w/ the whole "the Broncos suck, the Packers are cool" bit. I guess I really don't see how the Broncos and Packers are different. It has been a while since either one of them did anything. And I hate to tell you this brother, but Favre is done and has been done for some time. The difference is that the Broncos will actually make the playoffs this year and will make some noise. The Packers will be lucky to win 6 games. And to say that the team is a "ton of fun to watch" is funny. Not really funny-ha-ha, more like funny-sad. Watching the Packers play is like watching a really bad, bad movie that you keep wondering why they made. Anyway, I had to comment on your last comments, because they just didn't make much sense. Which really surprised me because normally you are a really sensible guy.

The Ho - you missed my point. I completely understand the the Pack will be lucky to win 6 games, we will struggle to find a RB, our WRs are weak, and our O-Line is unproven. And we haven't even gotten to the defense - why bother. My comments were more directed toward Favre, who can't come to grips with the fact that he is well past his prime and is not the player he used to be. BUT, he is still loving the game, and watching Brett enjoy the game and playing a few more downs will be fun to watch - even if he does throw 38 INTs and the team wins 2 games. Plus, I like where the team is going. My point is the Broncos fans think they will go to the Super Bowl every year and think Mike Shanahan is a god. OK, so the donkeys will make the playoffs, but do any of you honestly think the Snake can take you to the Super Bowl. And I would get a resounding yes. But what about the running game? Well, the Genius can make anyone a star RB. Please, Mike Bell, Ron Dayne, Tatum Bell - do you really think these guys are going to the Super Bowl???

I love talking football - everything just feels right in the Fall!

Dear Brian,
Your point about the Vikings and a Super Bowl might hurt--if I hadn't already made it for you. Continuing your line of analogies--the Packers are like Rico in the movie Napoleon Dynamite. Used to be pretty good and now all they can do is live in the past recounting the glory days that will never come again.

We most certainly can agree on the beauty of football in the Fall though!

Wow, I can't even watch the trainwreck that is life as a Vikings fan. You know what teams fall back on the "living in the past" argument... losing teams.

Please, I have ripped apart the Packers chances more than anyone here and have not once legitimized our current state because we have a Super Bowl ring. I honestly think Favre is the only current Packer from that team - and he is so old he might not even remember that.

I am honored to be hosting this post on football. I move from tears, to jubilation, to anger, to just being frankly...well you fill in the adjective.

Trevor - Rico! That was funny.

The Ho - nice to see you have a name finally.

Brian - as always we can talk football all day!
